Day 01 Yangon - Kyaikhtiyo 180 km* 4hr drive

Pick up from the airport and drive to Golden Rock, locally called Kyaikhtiyo. It is located on a high mountain in Mon State and southeast from Yangon. Kyaikhtiyo pagoda exists on the highest peak (1100 meter above sea level) of the Paung Laung mountain ranges – 12 km from base camp kimpun. After 4 hours drive from Yangon, you take a 45 minute open truck uphill, then another hour walk up together with the native pilgrims., You will then reach the Pagoda site. In the late evening, dinner is served with fine Burmese food and then an overnight at the hotel.


Day 02 Kyaikhtiyo - Bago - Yangon

After breakfast, back to Yangon. On the way back to Yangon visit Bago. Sightseeing includes the Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda, over a thousand years old; its spire is even taller than Shwedagon Pagoda. The 55 meter long reclining Shwe Tha Lyaung Buddha image is among the country's most revered. Return to Yangon through rural landscape of rice fields and small villages. Lunch and dinner are included. Overnight in Yangon.


 

Day 03 Mandalay and Amarpura( full day city tour)

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and take the late morning flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival in Mandalay, transfer to hotel; then sightseeing to the most venerated Mahamuni Buddha Image cost in bronze, gilded with thick gold leaf; Golden-leaf Making Workshop; Kuthodaw Pagoda renowned as “The World’s largest Book” for its 729 stone slabs of Buddhist Scriptures Golden Palace Monastery, a super example of a traditional wooden building. Continue to ancient capital Amarapura. Visit to silk and cotton Weaving Industry, the famous U Bein Bridge,1.2 km long teak bridge spans the Taungthaman Lake. View the sunset from there and return to hotel. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 04 Visit Sagaing and Mingun old city

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Sagaing, a former capital of Shan Kingdom and Myanmar Kingdom but nowadays is renowned as the religious center of Myanmar because of over 400 monasteries spreading throughout the hillocks. After crossing the Inwa bridge (also called Sagaing bridge), one can visit the Sagaing hill by trucks. The highlights include Soonooponyashin Pagoda, Uminthonese – a thirty man-made caves pagoda. Other highlights include silver smith and Kaunghmudaw pagoda – the gigantic stupa represents a paddy heap. Lunch at Sagaing.Late afternoon, we would take a short boat ride up river to reach Mingun, located at the other side of the Ayeyarwaddy river and north of Mandalay. The boat ride is always pleasant as one can learn the ways of local life along the river. Sightseeing highlights includes Pathodawgyi – believed to be one of the largest brick bases in the world and one of the wonders of the world if it is ever completed; Mingun bell – said to be the world's biggest untracked ringing bell and Myatheindan pagoda represents Buddhist cosmology. Back to Mandalay. Overnight at Mandalay.

Day 05 Mandalay - Monywa ( car)

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Monywa situated by the east bank of the Chindwin River. Taking Pakoku- Myaing and joining to Pathein-Monywa road, it is better to visit Po Win hill an interesting area with the caves containing ancient sculptures, mural paintings dating from 17th and 18th centuries. Proceed to Monywa across Chindwin river. Overnight at Monywa.

 

 

Day 06 Monywa - Bagan

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and Check out the hotel then after 13 km we would stop at Thanbodday Pagoda – an unusual Buddhist temple with over 500,000 Buddha images. Visit one thousand Bodhi trees complex where you will see the elegant standing, reclining and lying Buddha statues are being built. An overlooking view from a temple looks nice. And drive to Jetty, take a boat and proceed to Bagan. On the way, you will visit some sightseeing such as the way of life in river village, specialize of pot making and you can take the panoramic view of Ayeryarwady River. And then you will arrive Bagan in evening. Upon arrival you will transfer to hotel and check in. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 07 Monywa _ Bagan (Bagan Full day Sightseeing)

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and drive to Bagan, one of Asia's most popular archaeological destinations and one out of two most pre-eminent religious old cities in South East Asia. The sightseeing starts with a visit to Nyaung Oo market – a typical local market; followed by visits to most distinctive pagodas such as Shwezigon Pagoda – the holiest one believed to be enshrined with Buddha tooth and hair; Gubyaukgyi Temple ( Wetkyiinn village) – the 13th century 'cave temple' with fine frescoes of scenes from Jakarta's; Anada Temple – one of the masterpieces surviving and remaining in Bagan and considered to be in the Mon architecture style. A visit to the lacquer ware factory followed by a visit to local village. Before the sunset, we would take a boat ride along the Ayeyarwaddy river to discover the local life and view the sunset. Overnight at Bagan.

Day 08 Bagan – Salay – Mt popa – Bagan

After breakfast at hotel, proceed to Salay and visit to Yoke-sone Monestary decorated with wood-carvings depicting scenes for moral lessons. After that continue to lacquer-ware Buddha Image and the ancient monastery. Then drive to Mt.Popa, an extinct volcano which is the abode of Nats (spirits). It is about 783 m height and climb over the 777 steps to reach the top of the mountain where has monasteries, pagodas and shrines in different style. Then come back to Bagan and overnight at hotel in Bagan.


Day 09 Bagan – Heho flight Etd /hr – Visit kalaw

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and take the late morning flight to Heho On arrival drive to Kalaw (about 2 hrs drive) and visit Theindaung Monastery, Aung Chan Tha Phayar, Shweohnmin Phayar and caves. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, transfer to trekking point for trek to Myin Ma Hti cave - see tribe people of Dha Nu and Taung Yoeh - visit cave with curved Buddha images. And continue to surrounding the villages Lu Pyin and Taung Gyi Chay. Evening back to Kalaw and dinner and overnight at hotel.


Day 10 Kalaw – Nyaung Shwe Visit kalaw (trekking)

After breakfast trekking to the 'Tha Yaw' Palaung tribe village which may take about 2 hours and half hours walk from your hotel. Then trek to Tha Yaw round about 2 hrs trek (including Palaung traditional long house) and visit the hill tribe villages seeing them with colorful traditional costumes. Lunch box will be taking our porter. Then back to hotel, check out hotel and drive to Nyaung Shwe .Overnight at Nyaung Shwe.


 

Day 11 Nyaung Shwe – Inle Visit Inlay lake

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and visit Inle lake. Inle Lake exists 900 meters above sea level and the homeland of the Inthar tribe. Visit the regional market which takes place once every fifth day around the different areas of Inle Lake, if the day coincides with the market day. Phaungdawoo Pagoda – famous for its richly gilded five small Buddha images and its history; Ngaphechaung monastery (formerly also known as jumping cat monastery for trained jumping cats) – more than one and a half century old monastery with its collection of ancient Buddha Images. Other attractions include unique leg-rowing style and fishing method of the Innthar; floating gardens and vegetable plantations; and weaving factory and blacksmith. Overnight Inle Lake.

Day 12 Visit Indein (B / - / -)

Breakfast at the hotel. Taking the boat down south and into a small twist and turn creek running into the lake, we would reach the Inn-dein village – a small village located at the south western bank of the lake famous for its ruined clusters of pagodas dating back to 16th century. The tranquility, peaceful ambience and ruins overgrown with bushes set you back entries. Overnight at Inle Lake.

Day 13 Yangon morning flight (Yangon city sightseeing)

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and take the late morning flight to Yangon. Arrival at Yangon, check in hotel and take a rest. In the afternoon, enjoy your Yangon sightseeing with visit to Sule Pagoda, dating back about 2500 years ago. Then visit to Bogyoke Market (formally known as Scott market to the British) (close to Mondays and Gazetted holidays) to see Myanmar traditional handicrafts, clothes, snacks and famous Myanmar jewellery abound in stalls of the market. Your highlight for this evening is the dinner in Karaweik Palace, overlooking to the Royal lake and Shwedagone Tower. The dinner is served with fine Burmese food and amazing cultural show. Overnight in Yangon.


Day 14 Yangon city sightseeing / Yangon – Onward departure flight

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and visit World Peace Pagoda and cave,which were constructed during the time of Prime Minister U Nu, approximately 1952. The style is different, or fairly morden if compared to Shwedagon and others Pagodas.The World Peace Pagoda has a Buddha's relic room. It has a peaceful surrounding, and those interested could enjoy a stroll in the large compound which includes the cave and a fish pond. And take the lunch, after the lunch, free at leisure before your departure time and transfer to the airport for the International Departure.
