Yangon - Kyaikhtiyo - Pa an - Mawlamyaing - Yangon (By Flight / By Car)

Day 01 Yangon – Kyaikhtiyo 180 km* 4hr drive

Pick up from the airport and drive to Golden Rock, locally called Kyaikhtiyo. It is located on a high mountain in Mon State and southeast from Yangon. Kyaikhtiyo pagoda exists on the highest peak (1100 meter above sea level) of the Paung Laung mountain ranges – 12 km from base camp kimpun. After 4 hours drive from Yangon, you take a 45 minute open truck uphill, then another hour walk up together with the native pilgrims., You will then reach the Pagoda site. In the late evening, dinner is served with fine Burmese food and then an overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 Kyaikhtiyo – Pa an 3 hr drive

Visit nearby Golden rock to Crow beak cave and Hunter hill. Breakfast at hotel. Check out hotel at late afternoon and drive to Pa-an via Thaton. Pa an is capital of Karen state, 270 km by road east of Yangon. Lunch or refreshing break near Kyaikhto. Visit Bayin Nyi lime stone cave with hot spring and Kawgoon Cave decorated with 7th century artwork on the wall. The scenic view of Pha-an city is beautiful with lime stone hills, green farms and Thanlwin river. And Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Pha-an.


Day 03 Pa an – Mawlamyaing

Breakfast at hotel. Pha-an sightseeing includes Kyaukkalat sacred complex, Mt Zwekabin the land mark of Karen state, Shwe Yin Myaw pagoda by the Thanlwin river, city market and bustling jetty, Lunch at Pha-an. Continue to Mawlamying. If time permits, visit via Khayonegu cave that enshrines numerous Buddha images, stalactites and stalagmites. In the evening, leisurely walk along strand road by Thanlwin river. And Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Mawlamying.

Day 04 Mudon – Thanbyuzayat – Setse beach – Mawlamyaing

Breakfast at hotel. First, drive to Mudon ,30 km from Mawlamyaing, visit Win Sein Tawya,the world’s largest reclining Buddha image, 182 m long and constitutes 182 compartments. Continue to Thanbyu Zayat, 35 km from Mudon, visit second world war memorial cemetery. Continue to Set Se beach for lunch or relaxing. Late afternoon visit Kyaikthanlan pagoda on the hill top and view point, over 150 years old Queen Seindon Monastery.And Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Mawlamying.

Day 05 Mawlamyaing – Mottama – Yangon 280 km * 8 hr

After breakfast, return to Yangon via Mottama. Shampoo island is a worth place for sightseer. Lunch at a local restaurant on the way. Several photo stops en-route. Take late evening flight to Yangon.
