Bagan - Mindat - Kanpetlet-Bagan (By Car, By Boat, By Flight)
4 Days - Chin State ( southern)

Day 01 Bagan – Mindat 150 km approx 6 hrs

Route – Bagan( across Ayeyarwaddy river to Kyunchaung) – Myitche- Pauk- Kyauktu- Mindat

Take the boat across the Ayeyarwaddy River to Kyun Chaung at the other side of Bagan. From there our journey heads to Mindat . The journey is scenic for its crop plantations. Pon daung and Ponyar is the first settlement of the Stone Age and very famous among archaeologists an international team recently discovered fossilized remains found of the Pontaung formations about 34 to 50 million years ago. The team discovered fragments of such animals as turtles, crocodiles, rhinoceros, and pigs in Pontaung stone layers. The region becomes more and more fabulous as it gets higher and higher. Arrive to Mindat in the evening. Mindat is situated at 1480 meter above sea level. Overnight at Mindat.

Day 02 Mindat – Kyardo – AyeSakan village

Breakfast at local tea shop. We leave Mindat and proceed by jeep to Chechaung from there about 2:30 hr trek up to Kyardo village where most people from this village speak their native Chin language and it is rather difficult to communicate unless you have a proper Chin local guide. People grow maze, and beans and have tea plantations; besides that most of the men in the villages are also skilled hunters. Have lunch and relax at Kyardo. Late afternoon proceed trek to Ayesakan fan other hour. AyeSakan exists at 1738 meter above sea. The trek is quite attractive sceneries with numerous kinds of native birds through evergreen forests with large oaks and laurels which later changes into a dry low pine forest with rhododendron. From here you can see Mindut at 4860 ft right on the other side of the mountain. Dinner and overnight at AyeSakan camp.

Day 03 Ayesakan – Kanpetlet

Depart for Kanpetlet by jeep for 20 km*. Kanpalat is an old British settlement town situated 1390 meter above sea. The temperature is cool year round and pleasant. Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight at local guesthouse. Lunch at Kanpetlet. Afternoon optional trekking to one of the Chin villages in the area such as Yelaungban, Hlalaung or Makyaukah villages about 5 miles for a 3 hour trek to observe the way of life of the Chin tribe. You will observe Chin tribe women wearing various patterns of tattoos on their face and attractive amber necklaces. Dinner and overnight at Kanpetlet.

Day 04 Kanpetlet – Bagan * 180 mile approx 7 hr

Breakfast at the hotel. Kanpetlet to Bagan starts a long mountainous drive to Hsaw town. The road to Hsaw is dusty and zig-zaggy and sometimes the steep mountain road passies through beautiful natural forests.. After 30 miles from Hsaw , after passing the Pong Taung Pon Nyar mountain ranges will reach to Seikphyu. Then arrive atChauk- a town rich with old and new oil fields. After passing through this flat land reach Bagan in the late afternoon.
