Yangon - Bagan - Mandalay (Amarapura,Ava) - Mandalay (Sagaing-Mingun) - Mandalay - Heho - Inle - Inn-Dein - Heho - Yangon (7days/6 Nights)

Day 01 Yangon city sightseeing

Pick up from the hotel and warmly welcome by our tour guide and transfer to Hotel. Then visit to the Yangon city center with many colonial style buildings; Chauk Htat Gyi Reclining Buddha; Sule Pagoda, dating back over 2,000 years and makes a useful landmark in down town Yangon; Karaweik Hall, a floating barge on Kandawgyi Lake, then visit around Scott (Bogyoke) market with hundreds of food, clothes, handicrafts and gems stores. Then visit to the one of the world's most spectacular monument the Shwedagon Pagoda. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

 

Day 02 Yangon – Bagan (flight Etd/ hr ) Bagan Fullday sightseeing

Packed breakfast from the hotel. Transfer to the airport for early flight to Bagan. Check in hotel. Bagan, one of Asia's most popular archaeological destinations and one out of two most pre-eminent religious old cities in South East Asia. The sightseeing starts with a visit to Nyaung Oo market – a typical local market; followed by visits to most distinctive pagodas such as Shwezigon Pagoda – the holiest one believed to be enshrined with Buddha’s tooth and hair; Gubyaukgyi Temple ( Wetkyiinn village) – the 13th century 'cave temple' with fine frescoes of scenes from Jakatas; Anada Temple – one of the masterpieces surviving and remaining in Bagan and considered to be in the Mon architecture style. A visit to the lacquer ware factory followed by a visit to a local village. Before sunset, we would take a boat ride along the Ayeyarwaddy River to discover ocal life and view the sunset. Overnight at Bagan.

Day 03 Bagan – Mandalay(flight Etd 08:00/ 0:25 hr )

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and take the late morning flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival in Mandalay, transfer to hotel; then sightseeing to the most venerated Mahamuni Buddha Image cost in bronze, gilded with thick gold leaf; Golden-leaf Making Workshop; Kuthodaw Pagoda renowned as “The World’s largest Book” for its 729 stone slabs of Buddhist Scriptures Golden Palace Monastery, a super example of a traditional wooden building. Continue to ancient capital Amarapura. Visit to silk and cotton Weaving Industry, the famous U Bein Bridge,1.2 km long teak bridge spans the Taungthaman Lake. And drive to Inwa, formerly known as AVA, also a former Royal capital of Myanmar located at the confluence of the Ayeyarwaddy river and Myitnge river. After crossing the Myitnge river by small boat, taking a horse cart along the bumpy road to visit the ruins of the old royal capital includes the watch tower - the 27 meter tall leaning tower of old royal palace; Mahaaungmyebonzan monastery – the impressive brick and stucco monastery; Bargaya monastery – a splendid teak wood monastery with wood curving. Overnight at Mandalay.

Day 04 Visit Mingun and Sagaing hill

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Sagaing, a former capital of Shan Kingdom and Myanmar Kingdom but nowadays is renowned as the religious center of Myanmar because of over 400 monasteries spreading throughout the hillocks. After crossing the Inwa bridge (also called Sagaing bridge), one can visit the Sagaing hill by trucks. The highlights include Soonooponyashin Pagoda, Uminthonese – a thirty man-made caves pagoda. Other highlights include silver smith and Kaunghmudaw pagoda – the gigantic stupa represent paddy heap. Lunch at Sagaing. Late afternoon, we would take a short boat ride up river to reach Mingun, located at the other side of the Ayeyarwaddy River and north of Mandalay. The boat ride is always pleasant as one can learn the ways of local life along the river. Sightseeing highlights includes Pathodawgyi – believed to be one of the largest brick bases in the world, which would be one of the wonders of the world if it is ever completed; Mingun bell – said to be world's biggest uncracked ringing bell and Myatheindan pagoda representing Buddhist cosmology. Back to Mandalay.

Day 05 Mandalay – Heho flight Etd / hr – Visit Inlay lake

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and take the morning flight to Heho. Upon arrival at Heho airport, 50 min drive to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway to Inlay lake. Inlay Lake exists 900 meters above sea level and the homeland of the Inthar tribe. Visit the regional market which takes place once every fifth day around the different areas of Inle Lake, if the day coincides with the market day. Phaungdawoo Pagoda – famous for its richly gilded five small Buddha images and its history; Ngaphechaung monastery (formerly also known as jumping cat monastery for trained jumping cats) – more than one and a half century old monastery with its collection of ancient Buddha Images. Other attractions include unique leg-rowing style and fishing method of the Innthar; floating gardens and vegetable plantations; and weaving factory and blacksmith. Overnight Inle Lake.

Day 06 Heho – Yangon PM flight Visit Indein

Breakfast at the hotel. Taking the boat down south and into a small twist and turn creek running into the lake, we would reach the Inn-dein village – a small village located at the south western bank of the lake famous for its ruined clusters of pagodas dating back to 16th century. The tranquility, peaceful ambience and ruins overgrown with bushes set you back centuries. Take late afternoon flight to Yangon . Transfer to the hotel. Overnight at Yangon.



Day 07 Yangon city sightseeing / Yangon – Onward departure flight

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and visit World Peace Pagoda and cave, which were constructed during the time of Prime Minister U Nu, approximately 1952. The style is different, or fairly modern if compared to Shwedagon and others Pagodas. The World Peace Pagoda has a Buddha's relic room. It has a peaceful surrounding, and those interested could enjoy a stroll in the large compound which includes the cave and a fish pond. And take the lunch, after the lunch, free at leisure before your departure time and transfer to the airport for the International Departure.
