Yangon - Bagan (Mt Popa) - Heho - Pindaya - Inle Lake -Yangon

Day 01 Yangon city sightseeing

Pick up from the hotel and warmly welcome by our tour guide and transfer to Hotel. Then visit to the Yangon city center with many colonial style buildings; Chauk Htat Gyi Reclining Buddha; Sule Pagoda, dating back over 2,000 years and makes a useful landmark in down town Yangon; Karaweik Hall, a floating barge on Kandawgyi Lake, then visit around Scott (Bogyoke) market with hundreds of food, clothes, handicrafts and gems stores. Then visit to the one of the world's most spectacular monument the Shwedagon Pagoda. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

 

Day 02 Yangon – Bagan (flight Etd/ hr ) Bagan Fullday sightseeing

Packed breakfast from the hotel. Transfer to the airport for early flight to Bagan. Check in hotel. Bagan is one of Asia's most popular archaeological destinations and one out of two most eminent religious old cities in Southeast Asia. The sightseeing starts with a visit to Nyaung Oo market – a typical local market; followed by visits to most distinctive pagodas such as Shwezigon Pagoda – the holiest one believed to be enshrined with Buddha’s tooth and hair; Gubyaukgyi Temple (Wetkyiinn village) – the 13th century 'cave temple' with fine frescoes of scenes from Jakatas; Anada Temple – one of the masterpieces surviving and remaining in Bagan and considered to be in the Mon architecture style. A visit to the lacquer ware factory followed by a visit to a local village. Before the sunset, we would take a boat ride along the Ayeyarwaddy River to discover local life and view the sunset. Overnight at Bagan. 

Day 03 Bagan – Mt popa – Bagan

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mt. Popa - an extinct volcano at 65km southeast of Bagan in the plain region of middle Myanmar and as one of the national parks in Myanmar with a preserved forest. It serves as a small oasis in the hot, dry plain of Myanmar. The popularity of Mt. Popa today lies in the interest of religious and mystical beliefs as an abode of spirits, "Nats". Climb the Taungkalat – believed to be the part of the main volcano blown apart and plugged at the current location. On the way back to Bagan we would visit the toddy palm producing local home cottage. Overnight at Bagan.


Day 04 Bagan – Heho flight Etd / 0hr – Visit Pindaya

Take the morning flight to Heho. Arrive Heho airport and proceed to Pindaya by car 2 hrs. Visit Pindaya Caves with hundreds of Buddha Statues and local umbrella making cottages and pindaya lake. Lunch at Pindaya and continue to Kalaw. Kalaw is a beautiful hill station surrounded by mountains. Kalaw lies 1300 meters above sea level. Palaung tribes with colorful costumes can be seen at Kalaw market. Driving and viewing the villas set amidst in pine wood. Then leave for Inlay Lake. Overnight at Nyaung Shwe.


Day 06 Visit Inlay lake

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and visit Inle Lake. Inlay Lake exists 900 meters above sea level and the homeland of the Inthar tribe. Visit the regional market which takes place once every fifth day around the different areas of Inle Lake, if the day coincides with the market day. Phaungdawoo Pagoda – famous for its richly gilded five small Buddha images and its history; Ngaphechaung monastery (formerly also known as jumping cat monastery for trained jumping cats) – more than one and a half century old monastery with its collection of ancient Buddha Images. Other attractions include unique leg-rowing style and fishing method of the Innthar; floating gardens and vegetable plantations; and weaving factory and blacksmith. Overnight Inle Lake.

Day 07 Heho – Yangon PM flight Visit Indein

Breakfast at the hotel. Taking the boat down south and into a small twist and turn creek running into the lake, we would reach the Inn-dein village – a small village located at the south western bank of the lake famous for its ruined clusters of pagodas dating back to 16th century. The tranquility, peaceful ambience and ruins overgrown with bushes set you back centuries. Take late afternoon flight to Yangon . Transfer to the hotel.


 

Day 08 Yangon city sightseeing / Yangon – Onward departure flight

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning sightseeing to famous shopping center Bogyoke Market (formerly called Scott Market), where you can see varieties of goods ranging from handicrafts to clothing and local food/snacks. Continue walk to the Chinatown area, a bustle point (If time permits). Transfer to the airport for the departure flight. Depart Yangon.
